Who processes your data

Marketing Chief, based in Erpe-Mere, Belgium, is responsible for the data that arrives through this site. The full company details are listed above.

If you have a question about your data, it reaches one of the two of us directly. There is no third party in between.

What data we collect

There is one place on this site where you enter data yourself: the contact form. There you fill in your name, your email address and your message. The company name and the service you are writing about are optional.

Sent along with that message automatically: the time it was submitted, the language and the page you filled the form in on, the description your browser gives of itself, and your IP address. The last two exist only to tell a message written by a person apart from one sent by an automated script.

Beyond that the site records nothing. There is no account, no newsletter, no visitor counter and no advertising code.

Why we process it

To answer your enquiry and, if it turns into a project, to prepare the work. The legal basis is the performance of a contract and the steps leading up to it.

The IP address and the browser description are used to protect the form against abuse. The basis there is our legitimate interest: without that check, automated messages come in and bury the real enquiries.

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not pass it on for commercial purposes.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry does not lead to a project, we delete it no later than twelve months after the last contact.

If it does, we keep the correspondence for as long as the project runs. Data that ends up on an invoice is then kept for a further seven years, because Belgian accounting law requires that period.

Who else sees it

The site runs on servers operated by Vercel Inc. They provide the infrastructure the pages and the contact form sit on, and process your data only on our instructions. Vercel is a US company; for data transferred to the United States, the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses apply.

Sending your message goes through Resend, an email service that delivers the message and does nothing else with it. It arrives in our mailbox at Gmail, from Google. Both parties process your data only to deliver and store the message.

Beyond that we pass nothing on, unless the law requires us to.

Cookies and measurement

This site sets no cookies. There is no visitor counter and no code from an advertising network, so there is nothing we need to ask your consent for.

The fonts are served from our own server. Your browser does not have to fetch anything from Google to display this site, and no request leaves for a third party to do so.

Your rights

You may ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, have the processing restricted, or object to it. You can also request it as a readable file to take elsewhere.

One message to the email address above is enough. You get an answer within a month.

If you disagree with how we handle it, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels.

Changes

If the site changes so that this text no longer matches it, we update it. The date at the top says when that last happened.
